U16 Tournament Day 1

Today was Day 1 of our Brisbane tournament trip, but Day 0 of game play. We start playing tomorrow, with our first game at 9:50am.

The flight here was relatively fast. I was seated next to Chelsea and was able to sleep for a good bit. Check out the in flight instructions:

Apparently you can not longer bring furbies on planes. Ha.

This was the view outside of my window. It was a really pretty flight and it reminded me a lot of flying from Sacramento to LA with all of the different plots of land.

Once we arrived to the hotel, we dropped our bags and made a run to the grocery store. Then, we came back and dropped the groceries and made a run to the pool for a stretch out session. After, we went back to the hotel, changed, and went to dinner.

Talk about a busy day! The four girls in my van love comparing Aussie and American words and ways that words are pronounced.

Game day tomorrow. I cannot wait!

Alicia’s Aussie Word of the Day: power point. Meaning power outlet, plug. Usage: today, Eloise was excited that there was a power point next to her hotel bed.

There is no way I could travel without my Furbi.

woohooooo good luck! love coaching, especially once it’s tournament time 🙂 Hope the weather is extra gorgeous for ya, and that the girls have a blast and play well. And just remember, if you’re losing make sure you never end a game with timeouts left! Oh, and play lots of Starships and butterflies in your van 🙂 LOVE YOU!
