This morning, we woke up at 5 a.m. to try to watch the gold metal olympic match between the US and Spain, but of course, to Australia Channel 9, diving and track and field are more important than United States water polo. Fifteen frustrating minutes later, we went back to sleep.
I worked another shift at Dandelion and was the only waitress present besides the floor manager. It’s becoming very fun to waitress there, as I am beginning to know the order entry system and the way the restaurant works better. Plus, the wages are great!
After work though, I was both cold and tired. So I threw on my Uggs, and my hand-knitted leg warmers and sweater made by Grandma Jane. I was immediately warm and fully decked out! (Truthfully, the sweater was originally made for my dad, but I stole it because I love its long style.)
To add additional warmth, Chelsea and I went to get mochas down the street from our house, but it started pouring during the walk. It turned out to be quite the comical adventure, and the mochas were totally delicious.
Alicia’s Aussie Word of the Day: Prim. Meaning child. Usage: Dandelion does not have highchairs for prims.
