USA USA USA

We stayed up to watch the amazing 12:30am showing of USA v Australia Women’s Olympic Water Polo game. Wow, what a game! I won’t spoil it for everyone in the US where it won’t be shown until later, but just know that it’s awesome šŸ™‚ it was weird to watch it with 7 Aussie water polo girls, including the sister of one of the players!! But it was good fun! šŸ™‚

Alicia’s Aussie Word of the Day: knackered. Meaning extremely tired. Usage: it’s 2:45 AM and I am knackered and ready for bed! šŸ™‚

    Alicia, Lo

It’s 11:00 AM here and Us just beat Austrailia 11 to 9 in overtime = Wow!!!!!!! Great to watch, even though I certainly don’t understand all the rules and protocols of the game. But what amazed me, is how political the selections of the game players seems – 5 (or 7) girls from Stanford?? and one, they said, l9 and about to enter Stanford??? The Santa Barbara coach must be part of the family???? And somebody’s mother was once an Olympian water-polo girl????
What gives.???? What time was it on for you? live? I’m pretty sure the TV stations are picking and choosing events and times when they want them, but I was lucky to see this one.
I love your blogs – I hope you get enough rest. How far (and how much time) are you from Melbourne and from Sydney? Will you get to visit them? It sounds like you have a pretty tight schedule with a job and practice and play. I’m so glad you have made friends with

Hey Grandma! I’m so glad that you got to watch the game! It was such a good game of water polo. Both teams played great. Melissa Seidemann, #3, is the younger sister (my age) of a girl who played at UCD with me! Isn’t that cool? I have played against both Melissa and Anika multiple, multiple times šŸ™‚ Also, Kami Craig, who is from Santa Barbara, gets her eyebrows waxed by the same lady that I go to in Camarillo! Haha cool, huh? šŸ™‚
I miss you! I’m about a 10 min train ride from Melbourne and go all the time. Sydney is a plane flight away, but I will hopefully go soon! Love you!
