Today I hit the streets again to find a second job. This way, I’ll work morning shifts M-W before we have afternoon practice, as well as weekend shifts at Dandelion. The three of us figure that as long as we can’t quite travel because of our current practice schedule, we might as well make some money! I have a trial run at a cafe called Earnest V next week. I hope it goes well!
One of the highlights of my day was getting totally lost in my thoughts on my run. I ended up running six miles! It felt really good, too! As a water creature by nature, this is quite the accomplishment for me, and I am so excited! Check out the mapmyrun.com picture for proof, but don’t ask how long it took me, because it was really slow! Haha
The second highlight of my day was coming home from running to find a small white envelope shoved into our mailbox. It was a package from Ben, sent all the way from France! I was so excited and had to laugh as I walked into the house, because the country is listed as Australie, instead of Australia. At first, I thought he was just being silly, but then I realized that that is how you spell the name of the country in French! So cool! 🙂 I’m now sporting an awesome new Tour de France band and my collage of photos on my wall has two new post cards. 🙂
Today has been such a good day, and I found $10 in the street!! Yay! Tonight, Chelsea and I are going to explore Chapel St and its popular night life. 🙂
Alicia’s Aussie Word of the Day: heaps. Meaning a lot, a ton. Usage: Tonight, I made quinoa and added heaps of veggies. It was a delicious dinner.
